artist statement
fist over hand and toe under heel we reroute ourselves back to nature to find in her presence an unrecognizable face. drawn toward the beauty of smoky sunsets, rainbows atop oil slicks, dust dancing over water; tragedy in disguise. intrinsic to the crowd, many small gestures conjure up regrets, ripples in the pond. cropped from the same soil, we bound along, pause after pause. bombs and tears dont hault our stride, all the while ripples hurriedly begin to amount to waves. degradation and permanence are defined by new players in sublime landscape, now a time capsule of start to finish, beginning to end.
